Sylvia recorded the band Rescate in a fun and firey workshop where she built microphones, recorded on a wire recorder, sang group vocals in the control room and used the hybrid analog/digital approach to mixing on the SSL G-series console at El Pie.

In a huge lecture hall at the TAMABA school, Sylvia talked about recording Prince and Molotov and answered questions about her Adventure Recording.

Sylvia spoke to a full house at Buenos Aires INABU. The event sold out in one hour of posting and filled the auditorium with over 350 attendees.

While in Buenos Aires, Sylvia joined a large group of women recording professionals to discuss the pros and cons of being female in the music industry.

Sylvia produced the MTV Unplugged episode of Molotov, the legendary Mexican funk rock band. She arranged the songs, chose the instrumentation, directed the lighting and sound. Among guests on the session was Money Mark from the Beastie Boys, Jeogie from Tiger Army and Anna Tijoux, the Chilean rapper/singer star.

For one incredible hour, Sylvia and the band God Damn were allowed into the abandoned Aldwych tube station in the London Underground, to record drums and guitar on the lonesome platforms.

Sylvia visited Gothenburg, Sweden, to be the keynote speaker at the inaugural EQ Loves Festival September 2018. Among other luminaries, Sylvia shared the stage with Leyla Arab and Ebony Bones. Using master tapes recorded in the late nineties, Sylvia is modernizing the music for the current market, with the help of several talented programmers. Stay tuned for the surprising results from this project!

Lucky Doug’s “Canadian Woman” video has won Best Music Video at the Toronto Alternative Film Festival. Sylvia co-wrote the song, as well as producing the music, singing background parts, writing the story and directing the video!

For their upcoming release, “Rock-N-Roll Machine”, this is the best from Happy Tom and the boys.

The French came to Los Angeles to film a series with Sylvia while she recorded The Melvins for Mix With The Masters. See a preview here:

Sammytown and Obadiah Bowling came to Ashland to finish the “Rise Up!” album with Sylvia in the Mixing Room at Studio Divine.
